This is the annual examination to renew NDASA’s Certified Professional Collector Trainer for urine drug tests (CPCT-U) certification. While not required by DOT, passing this exam demonstrates the professional knowledge required for NDASA’s CPCT designation.

This is the 2026 Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT-U) Exam from Mid Year Training- NOTE this should only be taken after attending an NDASA Live Training Event! This advanced training course is designed for professionals who want to train collectors with confidence and expertise in the drug testing industry. Dive deep into DOT regulations while understanding adult learning techniques to create impactful, compliant, and engaging training environments. Become an NDASA Certified Professional Collector Trainer and learn how to effectively teach and mentor others in the field. Earn a 5-year certification upon successful completion. Those who complete this course will be able to train both urine and oral fluid collectors with the use of NDASA training materials. This course isn’t just about meeting standards, it’s about setting them. Training Manual included. Prerequisites At least 1 year of experience performing Federal urine drug test collections under either DOT or HHS with proof of qualifications (bring certificate to class) Letter of recommendation from a client or supervisor (bring letter to class) Ability to clearly articulate federal & non-federal collection procedures

Screening Test Technician (STT) Training: DOT Qualified
The U.S. Department of Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing program regulates more than eight million transportation workers in safety-sensitive roles. As part of this effort, the Screening Test Technician (STT) plays a critical role in deterring alcohol use and impairment in the workplace and protecting on-the-job and public safety. Upon completion of this professional-level course, the STT will be qualified to perform alcohol screening in accordance with DOT regulations laid out in 49 CFR Part 40, using best practices and meeting all industry standards for excellence. The STT will also have the knowledge, skills and proficiency needed to successfully perform non-regulated alcohol tests, as DOT sets the gold standard for training related to workplace drug and alcohol testing.
Reasonable Suspicion/Cause Training for Non-DOT Supervisors
Maintaining a safe and drug-free workplace depends on set processes that involve multiple entities including the employer, the supervisor, the company representative, collector and lab personnel, the Medical Review Officer (MRO), the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and, often, the Third-Party Administrator or Consortium.
